The Knuffelwuff Leicester dog backpack is the perfect solution for all dog owners who want to keep their little furry companion close by when they're on the go. Whether that's travelling, hiking or in everyday life.

Its foldable design means the backpack can be compactly stored away (45 x 35 x 12 cm). Strong, scratch-resistant mesh inserts on the front, sides and top ensure optimal air circulation and give your dog a good view of the outside world. The mesh inserts can also be opened/rolled up, allowing your dog to stick their head out and watch their surroundings with interest.

A robust hard shell structure provides reliable protection from the outside world and gives your dog a sense of security. Soft padding on the inside delivers maximum comfort when lying down or sitting. The sitting area has a removable cover that is machine washable at 30°C. Practical side pockets offer plenty of space for snacks, poo bags and personal items, while an integrated safety lead provides additional protection.

The Knuffelwuff Leicester dog backpack is just as comfortable for the wearer. Adjustable shoulder straps, a chest strap and breathable back padding relieve strain on the body and make even longer trips a comfortable experience. Some distances can only be covered by travelling by car, train or aeroplane. Our selection of high-quality transport boxes with comfortable lying surfaces, well-designed safety fastenings, belt systems, etc. ensure that you can always take your dog along with you, comfortable and well-secured.

Plastic, aluminium, even foldable nylon: there are lots of different types of dog boxes available from specialised retailers. Essentially, the ideal material depends on how big and heavy your dog is and what you want to use the box for. Plastic boxes are especially well-suited for on the go because of their light weight.
Metal dog boxes are popular for car use as they are extremely sturdy and therefore considered safe in road traffic.
Aluminium boxes are significantly heavier because of their robust material and are best suited for large, i.e. heavy dogs.
Our shop offers various boxes for car journeys (front seat, back seat, boot) and even for air travel. Matching accessories are also available.

The only way to find out is to get measuring and try it out. The dog needs to be able to stand up straight in the box, lie comfortably, stretch themselves and turn around. We stock boxes in different sizes and always include the dimensions in cm with the product descriptions.

Yes: According to the German Road Traffic Act (StVO), a dog is strictly speaking classed as a load and has to be secured. A securely installed transport box or a carrier that is secured with a belt are the best option for our beloved four-legged friends. Vehicle owners face a fine if they are caught with a dog in their car that isn’t secured.
